If you’ve got the Dzire for something new, Suzuki’s latest upgraded sedan might be the one for you!
The new Suzuki Swift was introduced last year, and now it's time for its sedan version, the Dzire, to shine. As reported by Top Gear Philippines, news from India, including sources like Top Gear India and Autocar India, point that the upcoming Dzire will not only carry the Swift's new features but will also have its own special components, especially at the front. The car's back is getting a makeover too, moving away from a simple trunk to something more stylish, that targets a proportional look.
As for the engine, while full details are not yet available, it's likely the Dzire will use the new 1.2-liter, three-cylinder engine from the Swift. This engine might include mild-hybrid technology, which would make the car more fuel-efficient. There's also a possibility about upgrading from the automated manual transmission to something smoother like a CVT or an automatic transmission, which would improve the overall driving experience.
The inside of the new Dzire is expected to be similar to the Swift, but with added amenities and updated technology, which includes new systems for driver assistance such as automatic emergency braking and lane keeping help. The mentioned additions and upgrades will probably make the Dzire more competitive by filling it with the latest technology.
India will be the first market to see the new Dzire, as stated by Top Gear Philippines. Depending on how the current model does, and the market demand, the new Dzire could eventually make its way to other markets - the Philippines included, hopefully.
