One month after the grand launch of GAC Motor in the Philippines, its official local distributor, the Legado Motors, Inc. (LMI), announced that it is bringing China’s fastest growing automaker to the northern part of Luzon. In a groundbreaking ceremony held on December 12, 2018, it is further revealed that the future location of the new GAC Motor dealership will be in Tarlac City.
To be located along McArthur Highway in Tarlac City, the newest GAC Motor 4S (featuring sales, service, spare parts, and survey) showroom spans a massive 1,670 square meter lot. The dealership showroom is expected to have state-of-the-art design and facilities to provide exceptional automobiles and services to every customer.
In attendance during the groundbreaking ceremony were Dr. Jose Chua Jr. and Dra. Juanita Chua of Dreamcar Unlimited Automotive Corporation, LMI Chief Executive Officer Mr. Wilbert Lim, LMI Chief Financial Officer Ms. Regina Lim, LMI Vice President for Sales and Operations Mr. Giovanni Frias, and GAC Motor-China Regional Sales Manager Mr. Frank Liu.
The agreement to launch the Tarlac City dealership was sealed during the contract signing on December 1, 2018 at GAC Motor Metrowalk, Pasig that transpired between the LMI executives and Dr. Chua of Dreamcar Unlimited Automotive Corporation.
“We are grateful for the positive feedback and support that we have been receiving from dealer applicants and customers since we launched the brand in the country last month. Our goal is to continuously expand our dealership nationwide in the coming years.”
GAC Motor offers a wide range of luxury vehicles, and it brings five strong nameplates in the Philippines including the GA4 sedan (available in 1.5-liter manual and 1.3-liter gas turbo automatic transmissions), the GS4 subcompact SUV, the GA8 executive sedan, the GM8 premium seven-seater minivan, and, the flagship model, the GS8 large SUV (available in 4x2 and 4x4 variants).
