GAC Philippines is planning to expand its product portfolio with 3 models, namely the all-new GAC GS4, the GS8 Bulletproof Edition, and the GN8 Master’s Edition. Apart from that, the Chinese also explained other plans for the market during its virtual round table with the media.
The current GS4 has been around in the market since the brand entered the Philippines back in November 2018. Now, GAC Philippines is planning to bring in the all-new GS4 sometime this year. The second-generation GS4 made its global debut in September 2019, with it showcasing a more desirable exterior design along with a well-appointed cabin that has improved in terms of material quality.
Details are still limited as of now, but just for basis, the compact crossover is available with 2 engine options in other markets, namely a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that produces greater numbers than the outgoing model, and a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine paired with an electric motor. Perhaps, both or either of the two engines will be brought to the Philippine market.
Aside from the all-new model, the Chinese automaker is also set to release the GS8 Bulletproof Edition, and the GN8 Master’s Edition. Likewise, we don’t have that many details regarding both models yet, though the GS8 Bulletproof that’s about to be launched will not be the facelifted version. Furthermore, the brand is also looking into launching an EV next year granted that the condition will allow them to.
Apart from the upcoming vehicle launches, GAC Philippines also extends its after-sales service to non-GAC vehicles. The following services include Preventive Maintenance Service (PMS), electric diagnostics, tune-up, recharging of freon, wheel alignment, tire installation, muffler and exhaust repair/installation, brake repair, change oil and lube, car wash, detailing, washover, body repair and collision estimate, car paint job, and car disinfection.
