Geely has been know to push the boundaries of car designs evident in its recent releases of vehicles such as the Preface and the Xingyue. That said, the automaker has decided to push its “Expanding Cosmos” look even further with a special version of the Geely Azakarra. Also known as the Boyue X in other markets, this enhanced version of the crossover now has a new sportier design language called “Energy Storm.”
On the outside, it carries much of the same lines as the Azkarra, however, it’s at the front where the changes are evident. The crossover now gets a new much more angular front bumper that is complemented by a dual-layer rectangular grille design that is topped off with a starburst grille. Aside from this the Boyue X also gets much more aggressive and sharper bumper cheeks that are paired with orange foglight accents to complete the sportier look.
Continuing with the new sharper and sportier looks at the front, Geely has also given the crossover orange accents along its sides. The automaker has also even added a set of blacked-out wheels to complete the look. While the overall lines of the vehicle still remain the same, other additions such as the removal of chrome in favor of black accidents help uplift the sportier theme of the Boyue X.
Aside from the exterior upgrades, Geely has also given the Boyue X a refresher to its interior. Instead of the standard black and brown interior, the automaker has given this special model a white, blue, and black-themed interior. White and blue have been used for the seats, headliner, and other accent trim pieces throughout the cabin of the crossover, while black has been used for the door cards, and for the dashboard. The overall layout of the cabin still remains unchanged, however, the new color scheme adds a more modern and spacious feel to the cabin.
There is no news yet if Geely Philippines will be bringing in this special model of the Azkarra, for now, all we can do is wait for further announcements to see what the automaker has in store for its popular crossover.
