Sojitz G Auto Philippines (SGAP), the official local distributor of Geely in the country, will soon be expanding its local dealership network to Fairview. The new facility is expected to open its doors by December 2021, with management under SGAP’s dealer partner, Valley Drive Motor Ltd. Inc.
SGAP President and CEO Yosuke Nishi, together with Valley Drive Motors Ltd. Inc. President and CEO Harold Co and other officials recently broke ground to begin the construction of the Geely Fairview facility. Its new 1,600 sqm dealership is strategically located at Block 148 Lot 25, Mindanao Ave. Ext, Greater Lagro, Fairview Quezon City, it will have a showroom area where the Coolray, Okavango, and Azkarra are to be displayed for interested customers, allowing it to fit about 6 to 8 cars. In terms of after-sales, Geely Fairview will also have a service center that can accommodate up to 6 cars.
We are very glad that Valley Drive Motors Ltd. expressed its confidence in the Geely brand by partnering with us in this Fairview outlet which will be constructed from the ground up. We are pleased to announce that our dealership expansion is right on track and we can expect that more Geely dealerships will rise in key and developing areas such as Fairview.
After appointing Yosuke Nishi as the new President and CEO, Geely Philippines has been continually expanding its dealership network in the country. Last May 2021, SGAP even announced its plan to open up to 13 more dealers in the Philippines. Plus, Q1 sales also soared high with the Coolray retaining the top spot in its segment. It seems that the Chinese automaker has been thriving despite the ongoing pandemic. Currently, 11 Geely dealerships are fully operational around the country, with its Fairview dealer set to be opened before the year ends.
