Geely is adding another electrified model to its Philippine lineup, with the Monjaro EM-i scheduled to arrive locally by the end of October 2026. Positioned as the brand’s Executive Performance Flagship, the D-segment crossover SUV features a plug-in hybrid powertrain with a premium cabin, advanced technology, and an intelligent all-wheel-drive system.
The Monjaro EM-i is built around Geely’s EM-i Super Hybrid system, which is designed to balance performance and efficiency. It also introduces the brand’s e-AWD Intelligent Electric All-Wheel Drive System, giving it added traction and stability across different road conditions.
Underneath, the Monjaro EM-i uses Geely’s new-energy-native GEA Evo architecture. The platform was developed to accommodate electrified powertrains while allowing for flexible cabin space, advanced safety systems, and connected vehicle technologies. Supporting this is Geely’s GEEA 3.0 electronic and electrical architecture.
Inside, the cabin gets Geely’s Flyme Auto intelligent infotainment system, while the Monjaro EM-i is the first Geely overseas model to feature the Xingrui Intelligent Large Language Model. These systems are intended to provide a more connected and interactive driving experience.
Geely is also positioning the Monjaro EM-i as a comfortable executive-oriented crossover SUV. Its D-segment dimensions allow for a spacious cabin, with the interior designed to suit everything from daily commuting and business trips to family drives and longer journeys.
While we don’t have the full spec sheet just yet, Geely Philippines says the Monjaro combines active and passive safety technologies with Geely’s Shendun Battery Safety System, adding protection for both occupants and its electrified powertrain.
The Monjaro name takes inspiration from Mount Kilimanjaro, reflecting the crossover’s focus on ambition and capability. For the Philippine market, Geely says the model will bring together comfort, electrified performance, intelligent technology, and everyday versatility.
More details about the Philippine-spec Monjaro EM-i, including its specifications, pricing, and availability, will be announced closer to its official launch. If you’re excited about Geely’s next hybrid offering, stay tuned to AutoDeal.com.ph.
