Geely Philippines is officially entering the plug-in-hybrid (PHEV) market as Geely Motor Philippines has begun accepting reservations for the new Geely EX5 EM-i, a PHEV crossover aimed at drivers looking for relief amid rising fuel prices. The model comes in two variants: the EX5 EM-i Pro priced at P1,288,000 and the more feature-packed EX5 EM-i Max at P1,468,000.
As the name suggests, the EX5 EM-i utilizes Geely’s EM-i PHEV system combing an electric motor with a gasoline engine, giving drivers the option to run on electric power for daily city drives while still having the range of a traditional fuel-powered vehicle for longer trips. For those who can charge regularly and mostly drive around town, a plug-in hybrid setup like this can significantly cut down weekly fuel use. According to Geely, the system delivers a hybrid fuel consumption rating of 2.4 L/100 km (WLTP Fuel Consumption-Weighted, Combined)—equivalent to up to 41.6 km/L. The crossover is also said to offer more than 1,000 km of total range on a full tank and charge, with fast-charging capability that can bring the battery from 30 percent to 80 percent in about 20 minutes under ideal conditions.
Pre-selling is now underway ahead of the model’s official launch. Customers who place early reservations will receive priority allocation once units arrive. Reservations, vehicle delivery, and ownership assistance will be handled through Geely’s authorized dealership network nationwide, which will also manage after-sales servicing and parts availability. To give potential buyers a closer look, Geely is also planning mall display activations across Metro Manila in the coming weeks.
Several limited-time promos are also being offered, and these can be combined depending on the schedule. The Reserve & Save deal runs from March 1 to 27, 2026, where a P1,000 reservation comes with a P10,000 discount. The Born Super Hybrid offer runs from March 1 to May 31, 2026, giving buyers P50,000 off any EX5 EM-i variant. Meanwhile, the Refer & Earn program from March 3 to May 31, 2026, rewards both the referrer and the buyer with P4,000 worth of periodic maintenance service (PMS) vouchers for every successful referral. Lastly, customers who purchase the EX5 EM-i between March 5 and April 30, 2026, will be entered into the EX5 EM-i Nubia Raffle, where 20 winners will take home a ZTE Nubia Neo 5 smartphone.
