Geely Philippines initially made its re-debut in the country back in 2019. Two years and eight months later, Sojitz G Auto Philippines (SGAP) Corporation, the distributor of Geely in the country, has now reached its 10,000th unit sales milestone and has released the 10,000th Geely unit to its rightful owner.
Despite the unfortunate set of circumstances brought about by the pandemic that hindered vehicle sales in the country, Geely Philippines was able to find a way to overcome these challenges and adapt to the current situation. The automotive brand was also able to find a way to expand its sales given its aggressive network expansion and customer engagement programs.
The 10,000 th sales milestone for Geely Philippines in a short span of time amid the pandemic is indicative of the trust and confidence that we gained from all our customers. Something that we didn’t expect and are really grateful for.
With initially three models available in the country, Geely Philippines was able to climb into the top 10 brands in the country in less than three years. These models are specifically the Coolray, which is the brand’s flagship model, followed by the Azkarra, and the Okavango. Last year alone the automaker was able to sell 6,104 units which is a 183% increase from its sales in 2020. This year, Geely is targeting to double those figures
That being said, we could soon see the automaker further expand its lineup of vehicles as it has just recently launched the Emgrand sedan and a new special edition version of the Coolray. As the brand expansion is still a top priority for Geely in the Philippines, we could soon see more dealerships rise up in the country that will be ready to serve the growing number of owners and buyers the automaker has for its lineup of vehicles.
