Yesterday, October 7, 2025, Luxuriant Automotive Group, Inc. (LAGI), the official importer and distributor of Great Wall Motor (GWM) vehicles in the Philippines, signed agreements with two additional dealer groups as part of its ongoing expansion efforts.
The new partnerships are with GTRS Automotive Inc. for GWM Tarlac and Auto Lucena South Inc. for GWM Lucena. Both dealerships will operate as full 3S facilities, offering sales, service, and spare parts, to provide comprehensive support to customers in Central and Southern Luzon.
“These partnerships with GTRS Automotive Inc. and Auto Lucena South Inc. bring us closer to our vision of making GWM vehicles accessible to more Filipinos nationwide. Our growing dealer network not only ensures convenience for customers but also strengthens the trust and confidence in our brand.”
The expansion follows a period of strong performance for GWM Philippines. In August 2025, the company reported its highest monthly sales since entering the market, reflecting a 30 percent increase from the previous month. The growth was attributed primarily to the continued demand for the GWM Cannon pickup.
The Cannon is not the only vehicle in GWM’s stable, however. The brand’s local lineup includes the H6 HEV and Haval Jolion crossovers, the Ora 3 EV, and the rugged Tank 300 SUV. Going back to the Cannon, GWM’s pickup truck has been given a recent update, upgrading its kit, exterior, and most importantly, powertrain. Now, the GWM Cannon is powered by a 2.4-liter turbodiesel engine paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission, developing more power and torque compared to its previous setup.
GWM Philippines plans to continue expanding its presence in key regions across the country, with the aim of enhancing accessibility and after-sales support for its customers. If you want to check out GWM’s current lineup, visit the GWM Car Guide on AutoDeal.com.ph.
