Suzuki Philippines (SPH), has reported its 1st quarter sales for the year 2019. The brand has been experiencing consistent sales growth, being able to secure the 6th spot in the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI).
Thanks to the brand’s new additions to its lineup, such as the Suzuki Ertiga, the company was able to secure its spot. The model remains the brand’s best selling unit, furthering the MPV craze that pervades the Metro. 33% of total sales for the quarter came from Suzuki’s small MPV, whilst 12.3% of total sales came from the brand’s supermini, the Suzuki Celerio. Suzuki’s subcompact sedan, the Dzire accounted for 11.6% of total sales and came in third place in the lineup. SPH continues its momentum, coming off a good year back in 2018, giving strong sales, expansion in key cities across the country, and back to back recognitions and awards.
We started 2019 consistent and stable, and so far, we have maintained our momentum. Our performance at the start of the year is setting the pace for the rest of 2019. We are confident of achieving substantial sales growth and reaching more customers through aggressive marketing efforts and nationwide promotional campaigns,
As stated above, top selling cars in Suzuki’s range have brought much excitement to the Suzuki brand as of late. Coupled with the strong marketing efforts that bring the brand closer to the consciousness of Filipinos. The 2019 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) last April showcased the models of Suzuki while the brand touted their combined fun, functionality, and comfort to appeal to the Filipino people.
Suzuki is on a roll as of late. No doubt, with an all-new line up for 2019, the brand will continue to spark interest in the hearts and minds of any prospective autobuyer.
