Honda Cars Philippines Inc. (HCPI) has confirmed through an announcement that it will be launching the RS version of the all-new Honda HR-V at the 8th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) next week.
The HR-V RS will be the new top-of-the-line model, replacing the V model which will now serve as the mid-range option. The base S model will remain the most affordable HR-V.

Honda has yet to announce further details, but from the looks of things, it seems the local-spec HR-V RS won’t be dissimilar from the version first launched in Thailand and Indonesia. The teaser photo sent out shows a unique front grille, black alloy wheels, and unmistakable RS badging all around the vehicle.
Under the hood, the HR-V RS will likely pack a 1.5-liter turbocharged VTEC engine that delivers 174 hp at 6,000 RPM and 240 Nm of torque from 1,700 to 4,500 RPM.
PIMS 2022 will also see the Philippine debut of Honda CONNECT, an advanced technology platform that works in conjunction with a user’s smartphone to enable over 32 features. Designed for comfort and convenience, Honda CONNECT allows for features such as automatic collision detection, remote vehicle control, speed alert, and more.
Honda Philippines is also previewing an all-new model at the event, with many sources pointing to it being the next-generation BR-V. The seven-seater subcompact crossover debuted in Indonesia last year, and this time we could finally be getting the model for ourselves.
The 8th Philippine International Motor Show is happening from Thursday, September 15 to Sunday, September 18, 2022, at the World Trade Center in Pasay City. Patrons can view all the exciting cars and booths from 10 AM to 8 PM. Tickets will be available at the venue for P200 each, with the first 1,000 people at each event day getting a 50-percent discount.
