Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) will be joining the 6th Philippine International Motor Show at the World Trade Center in Pasay City on September 14-18, 2016. Although not much detail has been said, the brand did announce a new 7-seater SUV model to be unveiled.
According to the Japanese carmaker, this new model flaunts a tough exterior design and a spacious cabin. In addition, Honda made it clear that the vehicle will feature a 3-row seating configuration and a host of safety features that make it an ideal ride for the fun-loving and practical Filipino family.
Aside from these, HCPI also stated that the vehicle has been developed by Honda R&D Asia Pacific Co. Ltd., the brand’s Thailand-based research and development facility. This means that the vehicle is aimed at addressing the Asian market’s demand for a capable 7-seater SUV with uncompromising versatility.
HCPI’s announcement had us wondering; could this new model be the much-awaited Honda BR-V? Although configured with 7 seats in 3 rows (a common trait among midsize SUVs), it’s still not clear as to which segment will this new model fall into. Right now, your guess is just as good as ours but the wait will soon be over.
Stay tuned for more details as the 6th Philippine International Motor Show opens to the public a few days from now.
