Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI), Honda’s local automobile business unit, launched the Modulo variants of the 2016 Civic. This is following its successful debut early this year, which garnered over 2,300 reservations after its reveal.
The new variants will be dressed in Modulo genuine accessories on both exterior and interior. They will be called Civic 1.8 E CVT Modulo and RS Turbo Modulo, plus a new RS Turbo Modulo Sport that’s fitted with new shoes to accentuate its aggressive look.
All Modulo versions will have front under spoiler, side under spoiler, rear under spoiler, exhaust pipe (1 pair for the RS Turbo Modulo and RS Turbo Modulo Sport variants), and a Modulo emblem.

Moreover, the 1.8 E CVT Modulo will have an additional deck lid spoiler, while the RS Turbo Modulo Sport will be fitted with 17-inch matte black Modulo alloy wheels. Inside, the vehicles have side step garnish for added style.
Modulo genuine accessories have undergone rigorous testing to ensure the best quality. These accessories also comes with a 3-year warranty.

As for the specs and other goodies, it will all remain the same as their derived variants. Developed under Earth Dreams Technology, the RS Turbo variant is powered by a DOHC VTEC Turbo Engine that can churn out 173 hp and 216 Nm of torque. On the other hand, the 1.8 E variant runs on a 1.8L engine that has a maximum output of 141 hp and 171 Nm of torque. Both are mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
In addition to that, the 2016 Civic RS Turbo got an impressive 27.56 km/L rating at the recently concluded Department of Energy (DOE) Fuel Eco Run. This proves that fuel efficiency has never been compromised with its sporty performance.
