Established in 1982, the Dualtech Training Center Foundation Incorporated is a non-profit technical-vocational school that gives aspiring technicians in-school training and industry experience that helps students gain relevant skills and practices that will help them succeed in the field. Honda Cars Philippines, Incorporated (HCPI) renewed its contract with Dualtech by committing its facilities and equipment to the foundation in order to help students gain industry experience.
The partnership will, as mentioned, include the use of Honda facilities, as well as the time and experience of Honda’s globally-trained Service Technical Associates. Following the program, students will be ready to explore opportunities in car dealerships and will have access to a pool of technical experts.
Dualtech is known for providing skills education and value formation for its students through brand partners such as Honda. The school also has a registered program with TESDA that helps the less fortunate to pursue their study in the mechanical field. Particularly, Dualtech is known for their Electromechanics Technology course which has a duration of two years. A total of six months will be spent by the students for in-school and in-plant training. As the students progress through the course, the training is also oriented to mold individuals with good morals, character, and exceptional faith.
The memorandum of agreement (MOA) was signed on April 26, 2022, at the HCPI Head Office in Santa Rosa, Laguna.
HCPI and Dualtech have been collaborating since 1993, and the agreement states that “Both parties recognize the need for a joint effort in programs that make industry-responsive education and skills training accessible to the Filipino youth as a step towards nation-building while improving productivity and the quality of life.” Furthermore, “HCPI and Dualtech will provide the best possible qualification through practical training study with relevant theoretical instruction. HCPI will prepare the trainees through actual experience and exposure to technologies, materials, tools, and equipment.” Present at the MOA signing were HCPI Executives, Mr. Delfin De Guzman, Ms. Vicenta Balarbar and Mr. Eddie Anastacio, and Dualtech President Mr. Arnolfo Morfe with his management team, Mr. Leonard Calma and Mr. Rommel Orfano.
