
Honda Cars Philippines Inc. (HCPI) announced the availability of the City and Jazz Black Edition. Both subcompact models were added with sportier look of Crystal Black Pearl paint, which matches all-black original factory-installed accessories from Modulo and MUGEN.
Only 100 customers can exclusively own a Black Edition of the two vehicles. To put things in perspective, there are only 60 units of the City 1.5 E CVT Modulo and1.5 VX Navi CVT Modulo Black Edition; 10 City 1.5 VX Navi CVT MUGEN Black Edition; and 30 Jazz 1.5 VX Navi CVT Modulo Black Edition available in the market.
The City Modulo Black Edition (1.5 E CVT and 1.5 VX Navi CVT variants) is fitted with a black front- and rear-lip spoilers as well as side skirts. It also comes with a black grille and a wing spoiler, finished off with 16-inch wheels.
On the other hand, the City MUGEN Black Edition (1.5 VX Navi CVT variant) comes with the same black colored body kits. The vehicle also has a front sports grille, 16-inch black alloy wheels, and a MUGEN emblem.
Meanwhile, the Jazz Modulo Black Edition (1.5 VX Navi CVT variant) is equipped with black body kits which makes it even sportier than the regular Jazz variant. It has a black grille, trunk spoiler, shark fin antenna, 16-inch Modulo wheels, and a Modulo emblem.
The City and the Jazz Black Edition models are powered by the same 1.5L I-VTEC engine, which delivers a maximum output of 120 hp. The engine is then paired to a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
The Honda City 1.5 E CVT Modulo is priced at P874,000, while the City 1.5 VX Navi CVT Modulo at P983,000. Moreover, the City 1.5 VX Navi CVT MUGEN has a price tag of P1,043,000 and the Jazz 1.5 VX CVT Modulo will be available at P998,000.
HCPI now accepts reservations for both Black Edition models in all Honda dealerships nationwide. Customers may also choose from separately purchased Modulo and MUGEN packages that will be installed to any variant of the New City and Jazz.
