Hongqi Beijing Auto Show

At the recently concluded Beijing Auto Show or Auto China 2026, Chinese luxury automaker Hongqi made sure it showed up with something to talk about. The brand unveiled a quartet of new SUVs at the show, each targeting a different slice of the market as part of what's shaping up to be an aggressive global expansion play.

Hongqi EHS9

Front and center at the brand’s presentation is the EHS9, Hongqi's flagship full-size electric SUV. It's a three-row luxury affair with a strong road presence and a cabin loaded with tech. Think of it as the brand's statement piece for the premium EV segment. Alongside it sits the all-new EHS5, a midsize electric SUV that the automaker is positioning as the sweet spot between performance and everyday comfort.

Following that, there are two models that don't have official names just yet. The G117, internally coded as such, is a compact electric SUV with a sportier aesthetic and a focus on flexibility. The P567, meanwhile, takes things in a different direction entirely, venturing into off-road territory. Both are still in the works officially, but their debut at Beijing says that Hongqi isn't content staying in just one segment.

On the topic of a market rollout, Hongqi confirmed that the EHS5 and G117 are headed for export in the second half of 2026. The P567 follows a year later in 2027. For Filipino buyers specifically, the EHS5 and G117 look like strong candidates to land in the Philippine market within that same window, potentially adding new options in the premium electric SUV space.

Hongqi Philippines currently offers the EHS9, the EHS7 midsize electric SUV, and the EH7 midsize EV sedan. Customers interested in the brand's continuously expanding roster can check out the official Hongqi Car Guide on AutoDeal.com.ph to see their take on premium luxury.
