Yukontorn Wisadkosin

Manila, Jakarta, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, and Hanoi are set to see a new chapter for Hyundai in the region, as Hyundai Motor Asia Pacific announced the appointment of Yukontorn Wisadkosin (Vickie) as ASEAN President, effective March 2, 2026.

In her new position, Vickie will oversee Hyundai’s integrated operations across Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Vietnam. She will report directly to Don Romano, who has recently taken on the role of President of Hyundai Motor Asia Pacific. Her focus will be on turning headquarters’ strategy into coordinated action across the region—tightening alignment, improving collaboration, and setting the stage for steady, long-term growth throughout ASEAN.

Vickie brings more than 20 years of senior leadership experience spanning the automotive and consumer industries. Most recently, she served as President for ASEAN Markets and Asia Pacific Distributor Markets at Ford, where she led multi-country expansion efforts and helped drive consistent growth in highly competitive markets.

“Vickie’s regional expertise, leadership capability, and deep understanding of ASEAN markets make her exceptionally well-suited to lead Hyundai’s next phase of growth in the region. Her appointment also reflects our commitment to strengthening global female leadership within Hyundai.”

For her part, Vickie said she is excited to join Hyundai Motor Asia Pacific and work closely with teams across ASEAN. She emphasized her commitment to building stronger regional coordination, accelerating transformation initiatives, and creating lasting value for customers and partners.

According to Hyundai, the appointment underscores the brand’s goal of developing a more connected, agile, and forward-looking ASEAN structure—one that supports sustainable growth and keeps the brand competitive in a rapidly evolving market.
