The patrol vehicles of the Philippine National Police (PNP) will finally get an upgrade. Thanks to the donation of Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI), our police force will now be driving the Elantra compact sedan and the Starex van. The Korean brand will even make sure that these vehicles will be running well with their award-winning maintenance service.
This donation is in partnership with the Korean National Police Agency (KNPA) and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). It’s also part of Korea’s six year joint project with the Philippines to modernize the PNP’s equipment.
The PNP received 40 units of the Elantra and 81 units of the Starex. These units come equipped with special safety features made for crime-busting such as LED search and warning lights, safety screens, dashboard cameras, mobile radio casings, rear safety films, and multi-function signal bars.
Aside from donating this massive fleet, HARI will also be providing its maintenance service that’s been recognized by the Hyundai Asia-Pacific Distributorship network and by the J.D. Power Philippines Customer Service Index (CSI).
It is always a challenge to live up to our customer promise, but most especially now that we are the PNP’s new partner in public service. Our goal is to bolster the capacity of our police authorities, so that they can effectively carry out their mission to maintain peace and order while enjoying a safe and comfortable ride.
The comprehensive service package will include initial inspection at the port of delivery and at the Hyundai Logistics Center (HLC). In addition, driver training and briefing about the features of the Elantra and Starex will be conducted at Camp Crame.
The donated vehicles also come with Hyundai's five-year unlimited warranty, special access to HARI's 42 dealers nationwide, and preferential preventive maintenance service (PMS) rates on parts and labor.
