To keep things fresh for the 2024 model year, Isuzu Philippines has a new D-MAX variant. The Limited variant of the pickup truck features additional accessories and changes that set it apart from the standard variants.
The Limited variant takes the specifications from the LS-A 4x2 AT variant, with a black and red twist. On top of that, the model also gets a different look thanks to a different grille, additional front and rear attachments, a new set of wheels and tires, and a set of decals specific to the Edition.
Even if the D-MAX Limited features a new look, what’s underneath is still the same tried and tested engine and platform that has been going strong for Isuzu so far. Still built on a strong ladder frame, still made with tough suspension built for hauling, and still equipped with a 3.0-liter diesel engine for the upper variants, the D-MAX is able to retain its output of 187 hp and 450 Nm of torque, still making it one of the more capable performers in its class. It still has a six-speed automatic transmission as standard.
The exterior of the model features a new grille. Blacked out with red accents, the D-MAX’s new grille features prominently on the Limited variant. Under that is a skid plate finished in red as well. On the side, we get step boards as standard and decals with the familiar red accents. “Limited” is stickered down the side of the car as well with an outline of mountains to give it a more rugged feel overall. The rear of the D-MAX also has the tailgate's red accents, which ties everything together.
However, the crowning glory of the D-MAX 3.0 LS-A Limited is the new wheels and tires that were fitted. A set of Yokohama Geolander All-Terrain tires were fitted onto the wheels. Isuzu also went with aftermarket alloy wheels to fit on the D-MAX, giving it a more aggressive and rugged look. Coming in at 17 inches, finished in satin black, and wrapped in 265/70/R17 tires, you have a very handsome setup. On top of that, Isuzu also fitted a new set of monotube nitrogen-charged shock absorbers, resulting in a ground clearance of 260mm.
As for the price of this new variant, Isuzu is pricing it at P1,580,000. The model is available starting today nationwide. However, do note that the Limited in the name means that this model won’t be available forever so do place your orders as soon as you can.
