Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) celebrates the 5th year of its popular SUV, the mu-X, with a limited edition variant. The mu-X was initially launched in 2014 and soon became a popular model in the Japanese car manufacturer’s lineup.
The special edition mu-X features a suspension lift kit, along with a set of new wheels and tires designed for off-road performance. The new but limited Boondock variant is based on the LS-A variant of the mu-X. It runs the same 3.0-liter turbo diesel engine with BluePower technology producing 174hp and 380 Nm of torque. Thanks to its added lift kit, the Boondock now has an increased ride height of 247mm.
Completing its new off-road look the SUV comes with a gray over-fender, on top of that it also comes with a newly designed bumper. It also features steel step boards complete with a Boondock logo and functional roof rail with a crossbar. All these in combination give the vehicle a more rugged appearance that is ready to take on whatever the Philippine roads have to offer.
Isuzu mu-X Boondock Limited Edition is truly a special treat to the midsize SUV market. Coming from the success of the Boondock Series, this variant is a great addition to the mu-X line-up. Which has proven its outstanding performance, impressive design, comfort, safety, and overall reliability as a family vehicle in the past five years.
The Boondock is available in a 4x2 configuration with only one available color option, Havana Brown. If you want to get your hands on this limited edition variant, you better act quick as there are only 100 units available for purchase. It also comes with a price tag of P1,845,000.
