Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) has announced that it will be launching a new variant of the Isuzu D-Max soon. The vehicle in question is the Boondock 4x4 variant of the popular pick which will have its launch event broadcasted live on Facebook on June 17, 2020, at 5:00 pm. The event will also mark the first-ever online launch of a vehicle for Isuzu Philippines. The popular pickup will also be unveiled under the Japanese brand’s new “Live Life Differently” campaign. The new campaign encourages clients and would-be customers of the brand to discover the endless possibilities of driving an Isuzu vehicle.
The Isuzu D-Max Boondock has been on sale in the local market for quite some time now, however, it was only sold in a rear-wheel-drive configuration. The introduction of the four-wheel-drive variant will finally be able to answer the call for those who want a tough-looking pickup that is off-road ready. It is important to note that the Boondock variant of the D-Max comes with accessories that help set it apart from the normal lineup.

The Boondock variants come with body graphics, a new set of wheels, upgraded suspension, and a couple of other accessories that further emphasize the vehicle’s off-road-ready looks. Just like a normal D-Max the Boondock is powered by the 3.0-liter Bluepower motor that pushes out 175hp and 380 Nm of torque. Putting the power to the ground is either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
In the spirit of the brand’s new “Live Life Differently” campaign IPC’s President Hajime Koso had a few words to say with regard to the current situation.
We will emerge even stronger from every challenge. You can count on IPC to support you in your efforts to rebuild and recover. We support the Filipino people and its leaders as we get back on track to global greatness.
He further continues by stating that “We move on from every challenge, and with every obstacle we hurdle, we must live life differently to be able to be tougher, more resilient, more enduring, and more dependable. The new D-MAX Boondock 4x4 is our response to the toughest challenge we have faced yet.”
As per the Isuzu Philippines official website, the D-Max Boondock 4x4 will be available at a special price, however, standard pricing is as follows:
-
P,1725,000 for the 4x4 manual
-
P1,795,000 for the 4x4 automatic
