What better way to start the year than an outdoor get-together? Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) was back in action with the country’s overlanding community at the 2026 Overland Kings Campout, held at the picturesque Crystal Beach in Zambales. Just in time for the summer season, the three-day event brought together families, thrill-seekers, and outdoor enthusiasts to celebrate camping, exploration, and everything overlanding.
Known as one of the biggest outdoor lifestyle gatherings in the local automotive scene, this year’s campout drew a record crowd. Attendees got a chance to check out a wide variety of setups, gear showcases, and community-led activities—all highlighting overlanding as a lifestyle that mixes travel, nature, and capable vehicles.
At the event, IPC showcased the Isuzu D-MAX 4x4 LS-E, decked out with practical overlanding accessories like a Mammoth rooftop tent, awning, and cross bars. The setup is meant to show off how the D-MAX is more than just a truck—it’s a weekend-ready adventure companion, whether you’re cruising along the coast or tackling off-the-beaten-path trails.
“IPC’s participation in events like the Overland Kings Campout goes beyond vehicle display. IPC joins gatherings like this to celebrate the outdoors together with the community and to show how the Isuzu D-MAX naturally fits into weekend adventures and camping activities. With its durability, off-road capability, and comfort, we believe the D-MAX is the perfect partner for outdoor lifestyles like this.”
Under the hood, the D-MAX 4x4 is powered by Isuzu’s 4JJ3-TCX Blue Power diesel engine, paired with a 4WD system featuring Differential Lock and New TCS with Rough Terrain Mode. Its high ground clearance, rugged ladder-frame chassis, and advanced suspension make it perfect for hauling gear, navigating tricky terrain, and supporting overlanding setups.
Carlos added, “Globally, the D-MAX is recognized and celebrated as a vehicle built for the outdoors - capable, durable, and ready for adventure, and this is exactly what we want to continue promoting in the Philippine market.” He also congratulated Overland Kings on another successful event, adding, “We commend Overland Kings for consistently promoting the outdoor lifestyle within the automotive community and for bringing together such a large and passionate group of enthusiasts in one venue. Events like this strengthen the community and inspire more Filipinos to explore, travel, and connect with nature.”
