Jianghuai Automobile Co., Ltd., JAC Motors for short, is a Chinese light and heavy-duty vehicle-manufacturer that was founded in 1964. The company produces a range of vehicles that covers personal, business, industrial, and public transportation.
To make it easier for you to digest what JAC Motors is, they were the ones who partnered with Volkswagen way back in 2016 to develop electric vehicles for China. The company now offers electric vehicles in its motherland.
Now, JAC has introduced an updated fleet ranging from a sedan, all the way up to a large van. Although not quite as big of a name compared to Japanese, American, and European brands, the fleet offers a style that isn't far from the exterior design of today's cars. Take the tiny S1 subcompact crossover for example, which could challenge bigger names in the segment in terms of compactness.
Aside from the S1, the whole S family SUVs and crossovers were also present at the launch. The S2, S3, and the 7-seater S7 are looking forward into causing a bump in their respective segments. Meanwhile, two van models and a pickup truck will also be available in the local market.
The arrival of the new JAC lineup is made possible through its partnership with the Triesenburg Auto Corporation, which operates under the Lica Auto Group. So, how are they marketing JAC? Simple – veer away from the norms with a tagline "Forget Normal."
“We are honored to partner with JAC Motors as the exclusive distributor of its innovated vehicles with cutting-edge design and technology.”
Currently, JAC Motors Philippines has 3 showrooms that would showcase its 2018 lineup. These are the newly-opened Westgate Center dealership in Alabang, another one in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, and one in Pasong Tamo. The brand will also have one in Makati soon, so if you’re planning on checking out these vehicles yourself, stay tuned.
However, if you are available on the coming 5th to 8th of April, the lineup will be showcased at the 2018 Manila International Auto Show at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.
