It's official! The local distributor of Hyundai passenger cars in the Philippines, Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI), is now in charge of selling their commercial vehicles after signing an agreement with Hyundai Motor Company (HMC).
This means that businesses can now get quality commercial vehicles that are made with the promise of an exceptional ride, handling, strength, and safety in mind. HARI disclosed that the initial model introductions include the HD65 and HD78 for the Light Trucks, the HD270 Dump for Heavy-duty, the H350 Country Bus, and the H350 Van. All these will come from their recently inaugurated Hyundai Logistics Center (HLC) located in Calamba, Laguna.
The timing is just perfect. All the essential ingredients that favor our new venture are in place... We are in the best position to bring new value to a new market and to drive the ascent of the economy, in alignment with the national roadmap to advance the competitive advantage of Philippine businesses in the ASEAN," said HARI President and CEO Ma. Fe Perez-Agudo.
As proof of its good timing, this move coincides with the implementation of the ASEAN Korea Free Trade Agreement (AKFTA) which would make importing vehicles from Korea less costly.
