As 2025 drew to a close, the ASEAN New Car Assessment Program (ASEAN NCAP) wrapped up the final phase of its 2021–2025 assessment protocol. Before the curtain fell, several vehicles underwent rigorous safety testing, including JETOUR’s rugged midsize SUV, the T2.
The JETOUR T2 delivered an impressive debut under the ASEAN NCAP 2021–2025 protocol, securing a five-star safety rating with an overall score of 86.50 points. The assessment covered four key areas: Adult Occupant Protection (AOP), worth up to 40 points, and Child Occupant Protection (COP), Safety Assist (SA), and Motorcyclist Safety (MS), each contributing up to 20 points. In the individual categories, the T2 scored 37.17 points for AOP, 15.94 points for COP, 17.14 points for SA, and 16.25 points for MS.
Standard safety equipment on the JETOUR T2 includes six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), and seatbelt reminder systems for the driver, front passenger, and rear occupants. It also features rear seat occupant detection, Blind Spot Detection (BSD) on both sides, Pedestrian Protection (PP), Child Presence Detection (CPD), and ISOFIX child seat anchors across all variants.
Enhancing its safety credentials further, the T2 offers a suite of advanced driver-assist technologies as optional equipment, such as Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) for city, inter-urban, pedestrian, and motorcycle scenarios, along with Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), and Auto High Beam (AHB).
Mechanically, the JETOUR T2 is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine developing 251 hp and 390 Nm of torque. Power is delivered to all four wheels via a seven-speed wet-type dual-clutch transmission. Here in the Philippines, the T2 is available with the pure-internal combustion powertrain or with a PHEV powertrain in the form of the T2 Lightning I-DM.
If you’ve been eyeing this macho SUV for a while, then you can add safety to its credentials on top of its off-roading capabilities. Impressed? Consider visiting the JETOUR T2 Car Guide on AutoDeal.com.ph and request a free quote from official JETOUR agents.
