Kia Motors Corporation just announced a new partnership with one of the top K-pop girl groups of this generation, BLACKPINK. The four-member act that made its debut in 2016 under YG Entertainment even got a new promotional video, looking fab while striking a pose with the new Kia Stinger performance sedan.
The Korean carmaker will be the title sponsor for the all-female group’s 2019 World Tour, which runs from January 2019 and will conquer seven cities in Asia including the Philippines. As one of the official sponsors, Kia will put up special exhibition booths at each tour destination, where it will highlight its latest vehicles and set up exclusive photo areas to engage more customers.
“Kia sits alongside K-Pop as one of Korea’s most successful global exports, and BLACKPINK is a perfect fit for our brand. BLACKPINK is one of the most dynamic, stylish and popular music acts in the world today, and this partnership gives Kia a unique platform to engage with a young, trendy audience in several of our most important growth and volume markets.”
With this iconic partnership with BLACKPINK, Kia aims to establish a closer connection to the younger generation. As such, the Korean automaker will conduct a series of experiential events all throughout the tour, granting the fans’ dream of meeting their favorite K-pop superstar face-to-face.
To make it a worthwhile experience for the fans known as ‘Blinks’, Kia plans to offer exclusive chances to join in send-off events, in which they would have the opportunity to see the all-female girl group in-person and receive signed CDs.
