Kia has officially shared a preview of the 2027 Telluride, the next version of its well-known midsize SUV. The updated model will have its world debut later this month at the Los Angeles Auto Show, with sales expected to begin in early 2026.
The Telluride has been one of Kia’s top-selling models in the US since it first launched in 2019, known for being spacious, family-friendly, and built with a tough-looking style. Instead of completely changing the SUV, Kia decided to improve what’s already working. The 2027 Telluride keeps its boxy shape but is now longer, taller, and wider, offering more space and a stronger appearance.
The new model is 58mm longer, with a wheelbase that has grown by nearly three inches. The height has also increased by one inch. Kia followed its Opposites United design theme, using a mix of sharp lines and smooth curves to create a strong but clean look. The design is said to be inspired by the rough outdoors of Colorado, blending solid features with a more modern, refined look.
Up front, the Telluride has a larger hood, vertical headlights, and a shiny, clean grille. The sides feature sculpted fenders, upward-flowing lines, and flush door handles—similar to what we’ve seen on Kia’s electric vehicles like the EV6 and EV9. At the back, the taillights follow a vertical layout with twin light bars and a clean body-colored panel in between.
A more rugged version called the X-Pro also joins the lineup. It features black trim, roof rails, mesh-type grille, and all-terrain tires. It rides higher too, with 231mm of ground clearance and comes with recovery hooks at the front and rear for light off-road use. The X-Pro also includes a Ground Lighting feature, which shines soft light from the mirrors, doors, and bumper to help drivers see around the car at night. There are also puddle lamps that shine the word “Telluride” under the front doors.
Inside, the new Telluride has a wider and more horizontal layout. The cabin is designed to feel open but still secure, using a mix of wood-like panels, metal details, and soft lighting to create a relaxed feel. With its larger size, getting into the second and third row is now easier, and there’s also a bit more headroom.
There’s no official word yet on whether the new Telluride will be available in the Philippines, but for now, you can check out Kia’s current lineup on AutoDeal.com.ph.
