Lamborghini has debuted the Aventador Miura Homage edition at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed. The vehicle pays tribute to the Miura which is celebrating its 50th anniversary.
The Miura was the fastest production car available when it was released back in 1966. It was a 3.9L V12 mid-engine sports coupe that gained worldwide attention in 1969 when it was chosen for the opening sequence of the film The Italian Job.
50 units of this limited edition Aventador will be sold in selected markets worldwide, although Lamborghini advised that most of the units have already been sold.
Nevertheless, it’s pretty nostalgic seeing the new Aventador Miura Homage Edition in the original 6 Miura iconic colorways which includes Rosso Arancio Miura, Verde Scandal, and Blu Tahiti. Although now, it’s complemented by a contrasting lower body color.
The exterior will have the black Lamborghini logo on the hind part, while sporting the Miura badge on both sides. As for the wheels, it will have 20- or 21-inch Dione rims, available in either matte silver or gold.
Inside, it’s available in 2 trims – either in Nero Ade or Terra Emilia leather – with same color stitching and carbon fiber accents. In addition, it has a Miura 50th logo on the seats and Lamborghini lettering embroidered across the dashboard.
Under the hood, it will still sport the Aventador’s 6.5L V12 engine, capable of churning out 700 hp and 690 Nm of torque. It can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds, while having a top speed of 350 km/h.
