For motorists that reside in Bacoor City, Cavite City, Imus, Dasmariñas, and Naic, a new Land Transportation Office (LTO) district office has just been inaugurated and opened. The services that will be available at this office will include Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) related items and Motor Vehicle Inspection System (MVIS) centers will also be present.
Residents in the nearby areas will no longer need to travel far to register and apply for LTO and LTFRB requirements. The new district office will be an all-in-one stop for cars, motorcycles, and public transportation. Driver’s licensure whether professional or non-professional will also be handled here, along with vehicle registration and renewal, and driver education—which means that student permits will be available as well.
The new office will also serve as a transportation hub for the agency, and will also be able to serve LTFRB-related concerns for public utility vehicles (PUVs). On top of that, several MVIS centers will be present to inspect the condition and roadworthiness of cars.
With licensure, registration, LTFRB requirements, and MVIS services all in one location, the Bacoor office looks to be a one-stop shop for Caviteños. LGU officials were for the idea of a Bacoor district office in the interest of convenience for locals.
The inauguration of the new district office was attended by local authorities which include Bacoor City’s Mayor, Lani Mercado-Revilla, and Cavite 2nd District Representative, Strike Revilla.
While the district office is partially operational. It will take some time before the office can offer its full lineup of services. No further details were disclosed and no specific date was stated by the DOTr as to when the transportation hub will be a hundred percent operational.
