Lynk & Co 02 is now the highest-rated compact SUV for safety in 2025

Who says you can’t save fuel and save yourself at the same time? The Lynk & Co 02 E-SUV is now officially the safest compact SUV tested by Euro NCAP this 2025, after getting a 5-star rating from the group’s crash safety tests. Euro NCAP is a trusted safety organization that checks how well cars protect people in accidents. The 02 stood out across the board and was named the best in its segment for this year’s testing round.

In all four testing areas, the 02 did really well. It got 90 percent for protecting adult passengers, 87 percent for children, 83 percent for pedestrian safety, and 89 percent for its safety assist tech. That last one is now the highest score ever recorded by Euro NCAP under their current test system. This new rating follows the earlier success of the Lynk & Co 01 PHEV, which also got a 5-star rating. With the 02 now joining the list, Lynk & Co proves they’re serious about safety and building cars that protect people on the road.

The Lynk & Co 02 E-SUV made its official Philippine debut not too long ago at the 2024 Manila International Auto Show, where it was introduced as the brand’s first-ever fully electric model in the country. As a compact EV crossover, it joins the lineup beside Lynk & Co’s existing gas and hybrid offerings, giving local buyers more choices in the growing EV segment. 

Aside from its strong safety ratings, the 02 also brings practical features like a 272 hp rear-mounted motor, a 66 kWh battery with up to 435 km of range, and both AC and DC fast charging options. Its sleek shape and smooth body design help it drive farther while keeping the cabin quiet and efficient. Inside, the 02 offers a high-tech setup with a large touchscreen, digital display, Harman Kardon sound system, and a spacious, modern layout.

The 02 goes from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds, uses a fully independent suspension system, and rides on 19-inch wheels with ventilated disc brakes. On the safety tech side, it comes with 16 advanced driver assistance features powered by five cameras, 12 sensors, and five radars.
