Lynk & Co has just added some serious bragging rights to its name, with the Lynk & Co 08 EM-P earning not one, but two Guinness World Records. The plug-in hybrid crossover is now officially the first premium PHEV in the world to hold records for both the longest hybrid driving range and the longest pure electric driving range—achieved without stopping to refuel or recharge.
The first record was set in Hami, China, from April 18 to 20, 2024, where the 08 EM-P was pushed through harsh conditions and challenging roads. Running in hybrid mode, it managed an impressive 1,813 km on a single journey, comfortably beating its official CLTC-rated range of 1,400 km by over 413 km.
The second record took place on the other side of the world in Toluca, Mexico, on December 22, 2025. This time, the focus was on all-electric driving. The 08 EM-P covered 293 km purely on electric power, exceeding its official CLTC EV range of 245 km. For the average driver, that distance more than covers a week’s worth of driving.
These numbers aren’t just the result of stuffing in a bigger battery or fuel tank. They’re made possible by Lynk & Co’s “Super Hybrid” EM-P system, which prioritizes smart energy management. The 08 EM-P is also built on the brand’s CMO Evo architecture, featuring a seven-layer design that brings a longer wheelbase, stronger chassis, better electric performance, and more advanced safety and connectivity tech.
More importantly, these records actually mean something in the real world. They show that a long driving range isn’t limited to perfect test conditions, but something drivers can count on every day. You can lean more on electric driving during the week, then hit the road for longer trips without stressing about where to charge or refuel.
Instead of planning your drive around energy stops, the Lynk & Co 08 EM-P makes topping up optional, not mandatory. That translates to fewer interruptions on long journeys and less range anxiety during daily use.
With two Guinness World Records under its belt, the Lynk & Co 08 EM-P proves that smart hybrid tech can deliver real benefits, and it can all be fitted into one seriously capable crossover.
Impressed by the 08 EM-P’s feat? Consider adding this crossover to your shortlist. Check it out on the Lynk & Co Car Guide on AutoDeal.com.ph.
