Safety is always a big deal when it comes to cars, and the Lynk & Co 08 just proved itself by getting a 5-star Euro NCAP rating. The Lynk & Co 08 EM-P has achieved a five-star safety rating in the 2025 Euro NCAP tests. It scored 90 percent for Adult Occupant protection, 87% for Child Occupant protection, 78 percent for Vulnerable Road Users, and 81% for Safety Assist. These results show that the SUV performed well across all categories.
This achievement adds to the brand’s record, with the Lynk & Co 01 earning top marks in 2021 and the Lynk & Co 02 achieving the same earlier this year. The new 08 EM-P continues this trend, proving consistent safety across the lineup. The SUV is built with aerospace-grade aluminum, a reinforced collision beam, and a boron steel frame with honeycomb filling. These materials help absorb impact and keep the structure strong. In a frontal collision, special bolts allow the subframe, suspension, and powertrain to drop down, preventing them from intruding into the passenger cabin.
For added protection, the 08 EM-P comes with front, side, knee, and curtain airbags. Its curtain airbags extend almost two meters along the cabin and can stay inflated for six seconds, giving extra coverage during rollovers or side crashes. It also has a Door Opening Warning (DOW) system that prevents doors from opening if another vehicle is too close.
Driver safety is supported with features like Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) that work for cars, pedestrians, cyclists, and motorcyclists. It also has lane-keeping systems, driver fatigue monitoring, speed assistance, and an advanced eCall system for emergencies. A Multi-Collision Brake system helps prevent secondary crashes after an impact.
Since it is a plug-in hybrid, Lynk & Co also focused on battery safety. The pack has passed more than 100 tests for crash, fire, puncture, and pressure. It has a reinforced frame with honeycomb filling, submarine-grade beams, and multiple mounting points to keep the battery secured. If a crash happens, the system redirects the impact away from the battery and automatically cuts off high-voltage power within 50 milliseconds. A steel guard plate under the car also protects the battery from road damage.
The Lynk & Co 08 made sure safety is not a question. With that out of the way, you can view its specs and features anytime at AutoDeal.com.ph. You’ll also find the rest of the Lynk & Co models there and can ask for a quote straight from home.
