Just when you thought Mazda couldn't get any better, they're rolling out the CX-50 Hybrid in 2025 and are not planning on staying behind in the hybrid trend.

The new model boasts a fuel economy of 15.7 km/L combined, promising drivers around $575 (approximately P33,541.48) in annual fuel savings compared to the standard version. Priced starting at $33,970 (approximately P1,981,572.01), the CX-50 Hybrid is both accessible and economical.

The SUV is powered by a hybrid system featuring a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine combined with three electric motors. The entire setup produces a total of 219 hp and 221 Nm of torque, so your vehicle saves up on gas while still delivering a good and powerful performance. The power is efficiently handled through an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission, making the smoothness of the drive even better.

In terms of design, the CX-50 Hybrid includes a few specific revamps to differentiate it from the non-hybrid models. It sports a modified front bumper and comes with unique 17- or 19-inch alloy wheels. Inside, drivers have the option to choose an exclusive red leather interior, adding a touch of luxury to the vehicle's cabin.

Technology-wise, the CX-50 Hybrid comes loaded with different features. It includes standard Alexa integration and has been updated with additional safety tools like rear seat alert and vehicle exit warning.

The SUV also features a refined version of Mazda's Smart Brake Support, which now includes nighttime pedestrian detection and collision mitigation technology. The 2025 CX-50 Hybrid will make its way to dealerships in the United States next month, although sales for the hybrid model will commence later in the year.

For those interested in more traditional options, the CX-50 lineup continues to offer models with a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated engine and a more powerful turbocharged version. While we wait to see if the hybrid comes our way, you can look at all the Mazda models on AutoDeal and get a quote for your preferred model.
