If you think the CX-3 is going out, guess again because Mazda Philippines has just discretely given it a few upgrades over the weekend. Aside from the updates, the Japanese automaker has also decided to axe one of the CX-3’s variants leaving the CX-3 Sport as the lone available option for buyers.
With a price tag of P1,510,000, the 2024 CX-3 Sport comes with some fresh tech upgrades. These enhancements include the introduction of powered lumbar support for the driver's seat, providing a total of 10 different powered adjustment options. Additionally, the 2024 CX-3 Sport now features wireless Apple CarPlay and a wireless charging pad in the console for added convenience.
Before the quick update, the CX-3 already had a long list of impressive features. These include diamond-cut 18-inch alloy wheels, stylish gray suede interior upholstery, aluminum interior accents, luxurious black leather seats, a high-quality seven-speaker Bose sound system, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a comprehensive 360-degree camera system, as well as blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert.
Powering the CX-3 is a four-cylinder SKYACTIV-G 2.0-liter engine, pumping out 148 hp and 195 Nm of torque. This engine powers the front wheels via Mazda’s SKYACTIV-Drive six-speed automatic gearbox with sport mode. Safety features include six SRS airbags around the cabin, dynamic stability control, parking sensors at the front and rear, a smart keyless entry system, speed-sensing door locks, hill launch assist, and of course, anti-lock brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution.
In the case of its looks, the 2024 CX-3 retains its familiar appearance, with no notable changes. Mazda did introduce a new color option into its palette called Aero Gray, which also made its debut on the 2024 Mazda2. Alongside the new Aero Gray color, the available color choices for the 2024 CX-3 include Soul Red Crystal, Machine Gray, Snowflake White Pearl, Polymetal Gray, Platinum Quartz, and Jet Black.
