MG Philippines has entered into a partnership with the Fort Bonifacio Development Foundation, Inc. (FBDFI) to support college students through scholarships that help cover daily expenses via a monthly allowance.
Under the collaboration, MG Philippines has contributed P1,000,000 to the Bayani Scholarship Program, supporting students as they pursue higher education. The initiative forms part of the brand’s broader efforts to contribute to community development and create opportunities for young Filipinos.
The partnership aims to ease the financial burden faced by students from underserved communities, allowing them to focus on completing their studies. Through the program, MG Philippines and FBDFI seek to support not only academic advancement but also the long-term personal and professional growth of scholarship recipients.
For the program’s third batch, MG Philippines is supporting five first-year college students enrolled in courses such as Information Systems, Psychology, Elementary Education, Tourism Management, and Hospitality Management. These scholars come from public high schools in Taguig City and nearby areas and are currently studying at institutions including Taguig City University, the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, and the Institute of Creative Computer Technology. Despite financial and family-related challenges, each student has demonstrated determination and a strong commitment to finishing college.
Selection for the Bayani Scholarship Program is based on academic potential as well as character. FBDFI evaluates applicants on their resilience, discipline, and perseverance in overcoming adversity—qualities that align with MG Philippines’ emphasis on progress, responsibility, and opportunity.
“We believe that education is a powerful catalyst for change. Through this partnership, we hope to provide young Filipinos not only with financial support but also with encouragement to keep pushing forward, overcome challenges, and build better futures for themselves and their families.”
In addition to monthly financial assistance, scholars will receive academic guidance, mentorship, and access to development programs designed to enhance both professional skills and personal growth.
“Partnering with MG Philippines allows us to extend our support to students who, despite limited access to higher education, show exceptional resilience and potential,” said Ezeviel Frago, Community Relations Officer of Fort Bonifacio Development Foundation, Inc. (FBDFI). “Together, we are opening doors to opportunity and helping shape a generation that will give back to their communities.”
