MINI Philippines has just announced the availability of its MINI Resolute Edition, available for the Cooper S 3-Door model. The new three-door hatchback gets even more premium treats as the Resolute Edition extends the style of the hatch with a sharp profile and authentic character.
The special trim package is an exclusive variant for the 3-Door Cooper S, and it’s here to make a style statement in the premium compact car category. What makes the Resolute Edition special is the special edition package which includes a Rebel Green body color with a traditional-style colorway, de-chromed trim, Pepper White roof, and mirror caps, and signature design features finished in Resolute Bronze on the headlight surrounds, radiator grille, rear lights, side scuttles on the front side panels, the door handles, air intakes, and even the fuel filler cap.
Apart from that, all the shiny chrome elements of the Cooper S 3-Door have been swapped out with a discrete Piano Black which provides a nice contrast to the rest of the car. These trim pieces can be found on the radiator grille, tailpipe trim, and horizontal radiator grille strut. There are even more details as the hood stripes and the door sill panels feature a pattern of parallel lines with a color gradient between a light and a dark shade of gold as well as the “RESOLUTE” name being spelled out. As for the other pieces of hardware on the car, you get 18-inch wheels in the Pulse Spoke Black design with run-flat tires.
The interior is also home to a lot of details, and the Resolute Edition delivers special treatments like the Sport Seats covered in MINI Yours Leather Lounge Carbon Black upholstery which pairs well with the Rebel Green exterior with the black and gold accents. The steering wheel is also wrapped in premium materials, with a Nappa wrap plus a special edition emblem attached. You will also find hints of light gold pinstripes on a black background. When night falls, the interior it lit with LED lights in targeted areas to provide ambient illumination.
Apart from that, there are tons of tech features that are also shared with the rest of MINI’s lineup such as the multifunction steering wheel, MINI’s updated 5-inch digital TFT gauge cluster, an 8.8-inch touchscreen display paired with a Harman Kardon sound system with 12 speakers, and MINI’s Driving Assistant package which includes Park Distance Control sensors at the rear, a rear-view camera, and also cruise control. On top of that, the Resolute Edition will also come with a lane departure warning that works between 70 to 210 km/h.
Being a Cooper S, the Resolute Edition will get MINI’s 2.0-liter turbocharged motor with 192 hp and 280 Nm of torque, which nets a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 6.7 seconds with a top speed of 235 km/h. The engine is otherwise mated to a 7-speed Steptronic Sport double-clutch transmission, and MINI claims that it can do about 6.0L/100km. For its average fuel consumption.
For pricing and availability, the MINI Cooper S Resolute Edition will set you back P3,300,000 and is available starting today.
