Closing the year with such positivity, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) achieved a 30% sales growth last December. This has then allowed the Japanese automaker to position itself as the number 2 automotive brand in the country that garnered a total of 4,195 unit sales.
Standing strong with a line of nine vehicles, this successful chapter of the brand was strongly motivated by three of its renowned nameplates, specifically the Xpander, Montero Sport, and the Mirage G4. Leading the pack is the Mitsubishi Xpander which happens to be the best-selling 7-seater MPV in the country. Numerically speaking, the 7-seater garnered a total of 1,472 unit sales, which actually illustrates a 57% improvement over its performance back in November 2020.
The crowd favorite is then followed by another well-loved model which is the Mitsubishi Montero Sport. Respectively, the midsize SUV garnered a hefty 957 units sold, therefore, proving that this big boy still retains its relevant status in the vast local automotive market. Lastly, the proudly Filipino made Mirage G4 rendered a satisfying mark as well, with the subcompact sedan having sold 911 units.
As for the others, the Mitsubishi Pajero managed 47 units sold, which then translates to a 147% increase compared to its previous month. While the immortal and ever-dependable L300 also reflected a strong showing, specifically with 478 units sold, therefore, resulting in a 30% growth.
With all that said, MMPC becomes grateful and optimistic given the strong support delivered by several Filipinos. This should perhaps push them further and allow them to constantly strive in becoming a better car brand throughout the coming days.
December was indeed a good month for Mitsubishi Motors. We are grateful for the continuous patronage of the public to our brand. The strong support from the market inspires us to work even harder to provide better products and service.
