Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has officially introduced the all-new Outlander PHEV, marking the brand’s first plug-in hybrid vehicle in the Philippine market. Positioned as Mitsubishi’s new crossover SUV flagship, the electrified Outlander brings together the brand’s PHEV technology and Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) system under the theme “The Power of Both Worlds.”
Powering the Outlander PHEV is a 2.4-liter MIVEC gasoline engine paired with electric motors on both the front and rear axles. The setup produces a combined 302 hp and 450 Nm, while delivering a claimed combined driving range of nearly 1,000 km. It can also travel up to 100 km on electric power alone.
The PHEV system offers several selectable EV modes, including Normal, Save, Charge, and EV Priority. This gives drivers more control over how the vehicle uses its electric and gasoline power sources, whether the priority is efficiency, preserving battery charge, or maximizing electric driving. The Outlander PHEV also supports Type 2 AC charging, making it compatible with the charging infrastructure currently available in the Philippines. When a charger is not within reach, the vehicle can continue operating as a hybrid, allowing drivers to make longer trips without having to rely entirely on public or home charging.
Mitsubishi’s S-AWC system is another major part of the Outlander PHEV’s appeal. The setup combines the twin-motor 4WD system with Active Yaw Control, ABS, Active Stability Control, and Traction Control to manage grip, stability, and handling across different conditions.
Drivers can choose from seven drive modes. Normal, Eco, and Power modes are aimed at different everyday driving preferences, while Tarmac, Gravel, Snow, and Mud modes adjust the vehicle’s power delivery and traction systems for more challenging surfaces.
The Outlander PHEV also gets Mitsubishi Motors Safety Sensing, or MMSS, with features such as Forward Collision Mitigation, Blind Spot Warning, Lane Change Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning, Automatic High Beam, and Driver Attention Alert.
Visually, the new Outlander PHEV carries a wide and muscular SUV profile, with Mitsubishi’s Dynamic Shield front fascia serving as its most recognizable design element. Full-LED lighting and 20-inch two-tone alloy wheels add to its upscale appearance, while the use of steel in key body areas is intended to improve refinement and reduce noise and vibration inside the cabin.
The interior takes a more premium approach, with light gray leather-trimmed seats, soft-touch materials, and a panoramic sunroof. The cabin also comes equipped with a 12.3-inch Smartphone-Link Display Audio system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with an eight-speaker Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium audio system.
Other notable features include a Smart Rear View Mirror and a head-up display, while comfort equipment includes triple-zone automatic climate control and eight-way power-adjustable front seats with lumbar support, memory, heating, and ventilation functions.
The all-new Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is priced at P2,848,000. As part of its introductory offer, customers who reserve and take delivery of the vehicle between August 20 and September 30, 2026 can get it at a special price of P2,749,000. Three exterior colors are available to choose from: White Diamond, Black Diamond, and Red Diamond.
“The All-New Outlander PHEV is MMPC’s new SUV flagship model. It will be available through authorized Mitsubishi Motors dealerships nationwide starting August 20, 2026. We invite you to visit our dealerships to experience our latest electrified flagship SUV and discover The Power of Both Worlds.”
