Peak Motors Philippines, Inc. (PMPI) and Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) officially unveiled their first Dendro Drive Station situated in Mitsubishi Manila Bay, to serve as an outlet for customers to learn about the experiences and variety of energy sources that can come from an Electric Vehicle (EV) or Plug-in Hybrid-Electric Vehicle (PHEV)—such as the brand's Outlander PHEV. The station is located at 857 EDSA corner Roxas Boulevard for visitors that wish to experience the value that PHEVs and EVs bring to the table.
EVs and PHEVs aren’t just for getting from point A to point B in a green way, MMPC’s amd PMPI’s Dendo Drive Station is the brand’s first outlet where the alternative uses of EVs and PHEVs are on display. Did you know that you could power your home with your EV/PHEV? The Dendo Station can not only charge your plug-in vehicles, but it can also supply electricity back to your home to run appliances, charge phones, and even serve as a backup generator should there be a power outage.
“We are very happy to have achieved this milestone with our dealer partner PMPI and energy provider Meralco. Mitsubishi Motors has always been dedicated to continuously studying technologies and gaining expertise when it comes to vehicle electrification. The Dendo Drive Station is a manifestation of this, bringing a new kind of value in terms of eco-mobility. Designed to be part of our commitment to help achieve a sustainable society by 2030 while at the same time impact the communities where Mitsubishi Motors dealerships are located. We hope to get more support in helping instill confidence among Filipinos when it comes PHEVs and more importantly shed some light on environmental sustainability.”
The Manila Electric Company (Meralco) also played a part by bringing the components to life. Through its subsidiaries, Spectrum, eSakay, and MServ, the company was able to work with Mitsubishi to develop and bring these products to the country. Two charging pods are present at the dealership, which conclude an IKS bi-directional charger and a Delta DC Wallbox.
“The Dendo Drive Station is a testament to Meralco and Mitsubishi’s commitment to promoting a new energy ecosystem where consumers can generate, store and share energy. Meralco is at the forefront of integrating renewable energy solutions as a way forward to augment capacity of our generators and as part of our road to economic recovery. We not only provide reliable power, we also give our customers the option to decarbonize their source of power.” Geluz is also Spectrum’s President and CEO.
