At the first leg of the Mitsubishi Life Kyaraban event, eagle-eyed goers would have been able to spot a sportier version of the Mitsubishi Xpander being teased in one of the looping videos in the background of the event. While the Mitsubishi Xpander GLS model was the only one from the nameplate in person, the looping video showcased what the MPV could look like when fully upgraded. It is important to note that the full-body kit is already available in the Indonesian market with its specific parts able to be viewed on the brand’s localized website for the country.
For those who want to get a rough idea of what it will cost to get the full body kit for their new Xpander, this is how much you can expect to spend:
- Front Airdam – P 31,550
- Side Airdam – P 31,525
- Rear Airdam – P 29,910
- Tailgate Spoiler – P 13,440
- Hood Emblem – P 4,315
- Total cost: P110,740
While there was an initial delay for the new model, Takeshi Hara, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines President and CEO has stated that the Japanese automaker has already started delivering the new units to its customers, this comes after Mitsubishi had to deal with lengthy delays brought on by global supply chain issues.
With the first batch of 1,500 already being sold out and with the reception for the new model being strong, the new body kit could prove to be instrumental for the brand as it builds even more hype for the next batch to arrive. Mitsubishi Philippines is already expecting another 2,000 units to arrive and another 2,500 to enter the country in July as bottlenecks in their supply chains have started to ease.
