Today, the Mitsubishi Xpander has received what the brand calls “Family-First” upgrades. According to the Japanese automaker, the new features are designed to keep Filipino families safe, connected, and comfortable.
Most Filipinos are already familiar with the Xpander’s popularity, so an update like this is sure to draw plenty of attention. With that in mind, let’s talk about what’s new for the 2026 Xpander and Xpander Cross.
Starting with the exterior, the 2026 model now features redesigned front and rear bumpers, updated headlights with integrated Daytime Running Lights (DRL), LED fog lamps, and 17-inch two-tone alloy wheels.
Inside, the Xpander Cross is equipped with new Black and Burgundy synthetic leather seats featuring Heat Guard technology, while the rest of the Xpander line comes with premium black fabric upholstery.
The biggest changes come in the form of tech upgrades, which include a new 10-inch Smartphone Link Display Audio (SDA) system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, as well as an updated eight-inch information meter cluster for the Cross and Xpander GLS. A key addition to the Mitsubishi Xpander’s tech suite is the inclusion of the Multi-Around Monitor (MAM), which provides drivers with a 360-degree view of their surroundings to aid in safer and easier parking. This is complemented by the integration of Active Yaw Control (AYC), a system designed to enhance cornering stability.
Mechanically, the Xpander remains the same. Powering this seven-seater MPV is Mitsubishi’s 4A91 naturally-aspirated four-cylinder gasoline engine paired with either a four-speed automatic transmission or a five-speed manual transmission.
As for prices, the 2026 Mitsubishi Xpander range starts with the Xpander GLX 1.5G 2WD MT, priced at P1,099,000, followed by the Xpander GLX 1.5G 2WD AT at P1,159,000. Moving up the price ladder, the Xpander GLS 1.5G 2WD AT is offered at P1,259,000, while the top-of-the-line Xpander Cross 1.5G 2WD AT comes in at P1,378,000.
If you’d like to see the new Mitsubishi Xpander in person, it will be on display at the SM Mall of Asia Entertainment Hall from August 29 to 31, 2025. For those who prefer to browse from home, the full specifications are available on the Mitsubishi Xpander Car Guide at AutoDeal.com.ph, where you can also connect with authorized Mitsubishi agents.
