It’s always nice to see car companies doing something good for the environment. Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has received the 2025 E3 Award for Environmental Stewardship, Large Enterprise from the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI). The award was given during the 51st Philippine Business Conference & Expo held on October 20, 2025, at SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
The E3 (Excellence in Ecology and Economy) Award is given to companies that are able to run successful businesses while also protecting the environment. MMPC was one of the large companies chosen this year for its ongoing efforts in clean operations, energy savings, and sustainability.
The award was presented by Vice President Sara Duterte, along with PCCI officials and other business leaders.
MMPC shared that its environmental programs include using 100% renewable energy in its operations. Twenty percent of that comes from the company’s own 4.2MW solar power system, while the rest is bought from other renewable energy sources. This supports the company’s goal to become carbon neutral in the future.
Other ongoing projects include a 100-hectare reforestation effort, plastic packaging neutrality for all cars sold, and improvements inside the plant like redesigned ovens that use less fuel and a waste heat recovery system that helps reduce energy use.
MMPC also runs programs to manage waste and water use, improve resource handling, and provide help to local communities through shared-value projects. The company said its employees all work together to meet environmental rules and to improve how they do things.
These efforts are also in line with the government’s call, through the Climate Change Commission, for businesses to invest in renewable energy and green solutions that lower emissions, create jobs, and help the economy grow.
MMPC continues to do better for the environment while growing its brand. It’s great when carmakers actually care about clean operations. If you’re thinking of buying, visit AutoDeal.com.ph to see Mitsubishi’s full lineup and request a quote.
