Ford’s EV crossover ranks at number one for owner satisfaction.

The Ford Mustang Mach-E is getting some well-deserved recognition over in its home country. In the 2026 U.S. Electric Vehicle Experience (EVX) Ownership Study by J.D. Power, it came out on top among battery electric vehicles, earning a score of 760 out of 1,000. That puts it ahead of other similarly sized rivals, showing that owners are genuinely happy with their day-to-day experience behind the wheel.

The EVX Ownership study does not focus on what the specs sheet shows; it measures feedback from electric vehicle owners after their first year of owning an EV, with a focus on their real-world experience driving. Owners are asked about driving enjoyment, how accurate the range estimates are, how easy charging is, overall costs, vehicle quality and reliability, and even how well the brand prepared them for the shift to electric. In short, it measures what living with an EV is really like. The Mach-E’s strong showing suggests Ford is doing more than just building a good electric crossover; it’s creating an experience people enjoy.
