Chery Philippines seeks to end the 2021 year strong by adding a new model to its lineup in the form of the 2022 Chery Tiggo 2 Pro. The new refreshed version of one of the most affordable crossovers in the country now sports the brand’s new corporate design language along with new technologies which the automaker says are industry firsts for the segment.

On the outside, the Chery Tiggo 2 Pro comes with a similar design to its bigger brother the Tigg 7 Pro. It gets a new dot-matrix grille along with slim daytime running lights. It is important to note that with its new design the headlights are now positioned in the middle of the bumper similar to what is seen on the Hyundai Kona. Moving to its side, the new crossover comes with a dynamic shoulder line but still maintains the same shape as its older iteration. At the rear, the Tiggo 2 Pro comes with smoked taillights that also come with a 3D effect. While not yet confirmed, the crossover could come with LED headlights along with a choice between either 16- or 17-inch wheels.

On the inside, the new Tiggo 2 Pro comes with a new geometric dashboard design that also features a new D-shaped steering wheel. The crossover also gets an infotainment upgrade in the form of a 9-inch touchscreen that also controls the air conditioning inside the vehicle.
While Chery Philippines has yet to release any official information about the new crossover, there are reportedly two engine options available for the vehicle. The first is the 1.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine that is in the current version of the vehicle, while the second is a 1.0-liter turbocharged powerplant that makes 101 hp and 150 Nm of torque. Its transmission options should still be the same at least for the manual variants with a new CVT unit making its way into the automatic models.
