The Christmas season is about to enter its peak and businesses are getting busier with shoppers ready to spend their 13th-month pay on gifts. Hyundai Philippines now offers business owners another new option to get their cargo shipments going. Enter the Hyundai H-100 KapitanKargo. As the name states, it’s a cargo hauler.

The KapitanKargo utilizes the H-100 platform but in this version, it has an enclosed cargo space at the rear. Whether you need a vehicle to help you move house, haul goods, or deliver products, the H-100 KapitanKargo can easily adapt to your needs.
Cargo isn’t a problem for this commercial vehicle. It boasts a payload capacity of almost 1 ton. Size isn’t a problem for KapitanKargo, as well, as it can take it any shape or size no matter the width or height, so long as it can fit within the cargo hold, of course. It boasts a strong and sturdy chassis and a 2,430mm wheelbase.

Worried about the weight and stopping the vehicle? Not a problem for the KapitanKargo as it uses a Load-Sensing Proportioning Valve (LSPV) that evenly distributes braking force to all wheels regardless of cargo carried. This lets the vehicle become more stable giving you peace of mind that you and your cargo are safe in the event of an emergency.

Powering the superhero-named vehicle is a 2.5-liter CRDi turbo diesel engine. It produces 128 hp and 255 Nm of torque, which should be more than enough to get the vehicle up to speed even with cargo.
Hyundai assures that the engine is efficient and will give the buyer the best bang for the buck in terms of fuel efficiency. The only transmission option available for the H-100 variant is a 6-speed manual.
Worried about the build quality and durability? It will, after all, face a lot of scrapes and scratches during its service life. Hyundai reassures that the vehicle and its closed cargo area will last. The cargo area features the Korean car manufacturer’s 7-step electrodeposition process which strengths the vehicle and adds to its durability. Prices for the KapitanKargo start at P1,038,000 for the variant without an air-conditioner, all the way to P1,078,000 for the variant with an aircon.
