Kia has released the first teaser images of the all-new Seltos, confirming its world premiere on December 10. The compact SUV, which sits below the Sportage in Kia’s lineup, will now enter its second generation with a full redesign and new powertrain options.
The first-generation Seltos was introduced in 2019 and later received a refresh in 2022. For this new version, Kia has redesigned the model to make it look sharper and more refined while staying true to its “Opposites United” design theme. The result is a more upright and boxy shape that gives the SUV a tougher stance.
At the front, the next-gen Seltos features slim vertical LED headlights, a wider grille, and integrated daytime running lights. It also gets flush-type door handles, modern side mirrors, and aluminum trim on the roof and skid plates. The rising beltline and floating roof design are similar to what’s seen on Kia’s new EV5 electric SUV.
The new model will still come in X-Line and GT-Line variants, both offering their own exterior styling details. Although Kia has not shared the exact size, the upcoming Seltos looks slightly longer than the current model’s 4,365 mm length, which may lead to a roomier cabin and added practicality.
Kia has not shown the interior yet, but it has hinted that the Seltos will have a “high-tech” cabin. It’s expected to include Kia’s latest digital cockpit, new materials, and updated driver-assist features. The brand also confirmed that the new Seltos will offer multiple powertrain choices, including gasoline and a self-charging hybrid setup, similar to the systems used in the Hyundai Kona and Kia Niro.
The Seltos will remain a global model for Kia and will continue to be sold in several regions, including Asia and Europe, where it sits just below the Sportage. Full details will be revealed once Kia officially presents the 2026 Seltos on December 10. In the meantime, you can check out what’s currently available at AutoDeal.com.ph.
