Reports say that the all-new 2022 Kia Sportage is due for release next year April. This information has been delivered by ‘The Koren Car Blog’ approximately two weeks after the world premiere of the fully revamped Hyundai Tucson. Now that the model is in its final year already, the Korean market, therefore, has gained a new Gravity trim, which perhaps serves as the concluding rights of the fourth-generation Sportage.

The latest Gravity trim may seem like your average Sportage, however, it does come with a great amount of gloss black details which are applied to the 19-inch wheels, badges, and on the side and bumper moldings.
Now, going further, the fifth-generation Kia Sportage is nearing its launch this 2021, specifically in April. Notably, the upcoming model was spotted being tested, and just by looking at it with its intrusive camouflage, the Sportage seems to be a looker and it’s sure to stand out among the crowd just like the Tucson.
The all-new Kia Sportage shall go by the codename ‘NQ5’, which is said to adopt a fresh design that could be previewed by a concept. Therefore, it’s best to expect the unexpected, as this fifth-generation model might premiere a new design language for the brand, given that it does look kind of different from the rest of Kia’s current lineup.
The South Korean carmaker is also believed to be developing a two wheelbase configuration, giving future buyers the option of a longer wheelbase Sportage that should render more rear legroom. With this, it’s somewhat safe to assume that a few bits may be sourced from the new Tucson. This might also include its powertrain options, as it is possible for both models to share identical engines, after all, they are cousins that constantly share a few strands of DNA.
Given this update, we do hope that there will be a continuous flow of information with regards to the upcoming model. The Tucson managed to deliver that wow-factor, and by that, we’re in much anticipation of its cousin, the Kia Sportage, as it will surely stun its audience upon launch.
