The new Nissan Ariya has made its official first public appearance on the iconic Circuit de Monaco in the glamorous French Riviera, signaling Nissan’s commitment to driving progress in the electric vehicle (EV) sector—evidently signaled in the Philippines by the Nissan LEAF.
Sleek and seamless, the Ariya complements the Monaco backdrop. Photos of the model were taken when it was lapping the famous street circuit. It’s a fitting backdrop knowing it’s also the site of one of Nissan’s other electric endeavors, Formula E. Many races have been held in this location. It’s a legendarily tight circuit with twists and turns that challenge even the most veteran of racers. Circuit de Monaco serves as one of the premier locations with the Riviera in the background complementing the glamour of top-tier racing events, and the Ariya itself is a nice fit as well.
This marks the first time that the Ariya has stepped outside of testing tracks and centers. This could mean that Nissan is getting prepared to make the Ariya available alongside its other EV offerings in the world.
“Ariya’s public driving in the streets of Monaco is a great way to witness the capabilities of our e-4ORCE technology. Ariya is the epitome of Nissan’s innovation in electric mobility and this event marks a defining moment in the next chapter of Nissan’s EV journey.”
Powerful performance, connected technologies, and a revolutionary new design makes the Ariya crossover one of Nissan’s most innovative models to date. The unique e-4ORCE drivetrain is one of the more competitive in the market. A large battery capacity along with other developments make the Ariya a competitor like no other in the segment.
Nissan’s experience in building consumer-friendly electric vehicles goes back over a decade, with the launch of the first LEAF. The first readily accessible electric vehicle made waves when it was first introduced to the market, and now on its second generation, the company will only take its electric expertise to the next level in the years to come.
