nissan ev e-power 2022

Nissan, the maker of the best-selling LEAF, is out on a rampage in producing electric vehicles (EV) in Japan. According to the automotive company, three more EVS and five e-Power models will roll out its showrooms by the year 2022.

The Japanese marque envisions that 40% of sales in its home country in 2022 will be EVs and e-Power models, which will then increase to half of its overall sales by 2025. For a company that invests so much in intelligent mobility, this didn’t come as a surprise.

As our domestic market, we are proud that Japan is leading the way forward when it comes to Nissan Intelligent Mobility. This vision is changing the customer experience by delivering technologies and services that are making their lives better and also enabling steady profitable growth through Nissan M.O.V.E. to 2022.

Nissan is also looking at digitalization of its dealerships. A new store format is underway, which focuses on the customer shopping area and experiencing Nissan Intelligent Mobility first-hand. The digitalization will also continue up to its aftersales to move away from the “conventional, fragmented service model."

We must not also forget the forged alliance between Nissan, Renault, and Mitsubishi that targets electrification and increased productivity for all three brands.

With this, Nissan is aiming to be the world leader in vehicle electrification and intelligent mobility. Well, selling 300,000+ Leafs (or Leaves?) in seven years is a good start.
