Nissan Livina Sporty Package

Over in Indonesia, one Japanese brand is seeking to add a bit more spice into its family hauler in the form of the Nissan Livina Sporty Package. If the vehicle itself looks familiar, that’s because it's the Japanese automaker’s rendition of the Mitsubishi Xpander. It is important to note that Nissan and Mitsubishi are in a partnership together along with the European brand Renault. Through this partnership, all three brands get access to technology and vehicles that each one makes.

The Livina Sporty Package comes only in black and comes with exterior accessories specially tailored for the model. To further emphasize that the MPV is “sporty” it also comes with red highlights in key parts of the body that provides a contrast to its black paint job. Continuing with the theme the side mirrors have also been painted red as well. Aside from the snazzy color scheme, the vehicle in itself remains the same as the standard version as even the wheels have remained stock.

On the inside, the red accents continue as the seats get red stitching. Aside from the exterior accessories, the Sporty Package also comes with more standard features to help set the variant apart from the rest of the Livina lineup. It comes with a ‘Welcome’ and ‘Coming Home’ lights, an around-view monitor that works similar to that of a 360-degree camera, and a bird’s eye view of the MPV.

Power remains the same for the MPV as the Sporty Package primarily focuses on cosmetic upgrades. This means that the Nissan Livina is still powered by the same engine as its Mitsubishi brother with a slight tweak to power. Unlike its Xpander counterpart, the Livina pushes out 102hp compared to its Mitsubishi counterpart’s 103hp. While there is a slight difference in horsepower between the two torque figures remain the same coming in at 141 Nm. Nissan did not state what transmission the Sporty model has, however, we speculate that it could have the same 4-speed automatic transmission found in the Xpander.

While the Nissan Livina offers buyers an alternative choice to the Mitsubishi Xpander, there is no official news yet from Nissan Philippines if they will be bringing in the model anytime soon.
